Privacy policy

This page explains what information GoalCast handles when you use the site. We collect as little as we can.

If you only browse

You can read every prediction without an account, and we do not ask who you are.

• Preferences stored on your device. Your colour theme, your accumulator slip and whether you switched on match alerts are saved in your own browser so they are still there when you return. They are not sent to us.
• Hosting records. The company that hosts the site receives standard technical details with each visit, such as your IP address and browser type, as every website's host does. We do not use these to identify you.
• Visitor counts. We count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics so we know which pages are read. It does not use cookies, does not follow you to other websites and does not build a profile of you; we only see totals, such as how many people opened a page and which country they were in.
• Team and competition images. Club crests, flags and competition logos are loaded from ESPN's image servers, so ESPN receives the standard technical details of that request, such as your IP address.
• No advertising trackers. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies, and we do not sell information about visitors.

If you create an account

We store:

• your email address
• the name you enter
• the country you select, used to show prices and ways to pay for where you are
• the favourite teams you choose, if any
• your password, in a scrambled (hashed) form that we cannot read

We use these only to sign you in, to let you reset your password, and to unlock member features. We do not send marketing email without asking you first.

Accounts are run for us by Supabase, an account service, which stores this information on our behalf. Members-only content is served from a database hosted by Neon, which receives your sign-in token to confirm your plan but does not store your account details.

If you contact support

If you message us on WhatsApp or Telegram, we see your phone number or username and whatever you write. Those apps have their own privacy policies. We use your message only to answer you.

Sponsors and outside links

Following a sponsor's advert or any other outside link takes you to a website we do not control. The link may tell that website you came from GoalCast. What happens there is covered by that website's own privacy policy.

How long we keep information

Account details are kept while your account exists. Ask us to delete your account and we will remove them.

Your choices

You can ask us to:

• show you the information we hold about you
• correct it
• delete your account and its information

Depending on where you live, the law may give you further rights over your personal information. To make a request, email infogoalcast@gmail.com or use the support links at the bottom of any page.

You can clear the preferences saved on your device at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser settings.

Children

GoalCast is for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes

If the way we handle information changes, we will update this page first. The date at the top shows the latest version.
